Plan Now for the Brickworld Chicago Convention: June 14 – 18, 2023

NOTE: If you are trying to purchase a ticket for public access, please go to the exposition page for that show.

Important Notes

  • 2023 convention badging is now open. Go to your My Page to purchase your badge.
  • Check out the Important Dates and Deadlines page in the convention menu
Brickworld Chicago (our convention in Schaumburg, IL) begins on Wednesday the week of the event. Wednesday through Friday are devoted to badged attendees with Friday holding more younger attendee activities. During the day and evening of Wednesday through Friday, AFOLs have lots of time for bonding, sharing and set up of displays. During the day and early evening Thursday and Friday, there are workshops, presentations and round table discussions provided by fellow AFOLs and other community partners. These sessions are designed to give badged attendees the opportunity to share with each other, learn from each other, discover new aspects of the hobby, and explore the various creations fellow AFOLs have on display. There are opportunities to:

  • Build creations on site
  • Participate in contests and games
  • Hang out with friends
  • Learn more about the hobby
  • Have fun in many ways

The convention schedule will show the specific, planned activities and will be posted as Brickworld approaches. Generally speaking, there is a mixer on Wednesday evening, opening ceremonies are Thursday evening, workshops, presentations & set drafts are on Thursday and Friday, and set up the display rooms is Wednesday, Thursday & Friday. There are plenty of other activities too – all day long and most of the night for any Full Convention Badge attendee interested in joining the fun.

There are three badge types available: Convention Badge, Late Convention Badge, and Saturday Sunday Badge.  The differences in badge types are illustrated in the table below. Late Convention Badge goes up in price because we want to encourage people to decide on attending before we are consumed by the details of final planning.  So, please purchase your badge sooner rather than later.
For more information about being an attendee, go to the Should I Be Badged FAQ page.
