Workshop Information

What is a Workshop?

Workshops are 2-3 hour, hands-on sessions about LEGO related topics. These sessions are led by AFOLs in the community.

Who can attend the Workshops?

All Full Convention Badge Attendees may attend the workshops.

Do I have the Register for Workshops?

Yes, if you would like to attend one (or more) of the workshops, you will need to pre-register for each workshop.

How do I Register for a Workshop?

When registration for workshops opens, we will send an email to all Full Convention Badge Attendees with the instructions for registering.

When will Workshop Registration open?

Registration for workshops will probably open in May. We will send an email to all Full Convention Badge Attendees when workshop registration opens.

Where do I find the List of Workshops Available?

Go to the Convention tab and select Details Workshops. When the schedule is available, it will appear here. The schedule probably will not be available until May.

When are the Workshops?

The workshops will be held on Thursday and Friday.

Is there an Additional Cost to attend the Workshops?

In most cases, no, there is not an additional cost. However, some of the workshops do cost extra. Please read the description of the workshop to determine if there is an additional cost.

Do I need to Bring anything when I Attend the Workshop?

Read the description of the workshop to determine if you need to do anything or bring anything for that particular workshop.

Is there a Limit as to how many Full Convention Badge Attendees can Attend the Workshops?

Yes, since the workshops are typically hands on, there is a limit to the number of Full Convention Badge Attendees able to attend. The capacity will be listed under the description for each workshop.

Presentation Information

What is a Presentation?

Presentations are 50-minute sessions about LEGO related topics. These sessions are led by an AFOL, a LEGO employee, or a LEGOLAND employee.

Who can attend the Presentations?

All Full Convention Badge Attendees may attend the presentations.

Do I have to Register for Presentations?

No, you do not have to register for presentations.

Where do I find the List of Presentations Available?

Go to the Convention tab and select Presentations in the left sidebar. When the schedule is available, it will appear here. The schedule probably will not be available until May.

When are the Presentations??

The presentations will be held on Thursday and Friday.

Is there an Additional Cost to attend the Presentations?

No, there is not an additional cost.

Do I need to Bring Anything when I Attend the Presentations?

Read the description of the presentations to determine if you need to bring anything.

Is there a Limit as to How Many Full Convention Badge Attendees can Attend the Presentations?

The only limitation is the room capacity.

Volunteer Information

Who can Volunteer at Brickworld?

All Full Convention Badge Attendees may volunteer at Brickworld.

What are the Volunteer Opportunities at Brickworld?

Some of the things we may need help with are:

  • Check in desk assistance (Wednesday – Friday)
  • Public exhibition people flow assistance (Saturday – Sunday)
  • Presentation assistance on Friday
  • General preparation assistance on Thursday
  • Play brick monitoring during public hours (Saturday – Sunday)

How do I Volunteer?

There will be a volunteer sign up button on your My Page a couple months before the event with all of the opportunities listed.
